What to do on Taveuni, Fiji:


There are plenty of activities to enjoy on Taveuni - kayaking, mountain biking, paddle boats, snorkeling and diving. Bouma Waterfalls is about a 30 minute taxi ride from the house and a 10 minute walk from the main road - they shouldn't be missed! Just ask our caretaker to arrange any of these outings for you.

There is a general store just a short walk from the house that sells a full array of foods, island clothing and just about anything you might need. In addition, the town of Somosomo - just a short taxi ride away - has a bakery, bank, post office and several other larger shops. On your way, be sure to stop at the International Date Line, where prior to an 1879 ordinance placing all of the Fiji Islands west of the date line, you could stand with one foot in yesterday and the other in today!

There are no rental car agencies on the island because you won't need one! Taxis are available and can be arranged for you as needed.
